Learn the INS and OUTS of Social Media and How to Keep Kids Safe
you feel like your child knows more about social media then you do? Than this
FREE parent workshop is for you. Karen Hasse, a national and local presenter on
keeping kids safe while using social media and having fun will put on the
presentation. Karen will provide parents with practical tips for monitoring
their child’s social media usage and keeping them safe. She will also share her
expertise on how to recognize cyberbullying, legal ramifications for
inappropriate social media usage and more. Parents will leave this session with
a better understanding of social media and how to keep their kids safe. The
presentation will take place on Tuesday,
April 7 at 6:30 p.m. at Papillion-La Vista South High School, 10799 Highway
370. This FREE parent workshop is sponsored by a grant from the Papillion-La Vista Schools Foundation.

Do you know
an outstanding Papillion-La Vista School District (PLSD) employee? Do you know
someone who goes the extra mile for PLSD students and staff? Do they deserve
recognition for their hard work and dedication? Then nominate them today for an
Aplus awards are designed to recognize
outstanding Papillion-La Vista School District employees. Nominations are
accepted in four categories: elementary teacher/specialist, secondary
teacher/specialist, rookie of the year and classified staff member. Thanks to
the funding from the Papillion-La Vista Schools Foundation, the elementary
teacher, secondary teacher and classified staff member winners will receive a
cash prize of $2,500 each. The rookie employee will receive a $1,250.
Winners will be announced at the End of the Year All Staff Celebration.
