Parent/ Caregiver Resources
Parents and other regular caregivers, according to the Ounce of Prevention Fund, are important elements during the early childhood years, helping young children to develop in many areas. Early environments matter—nurturing relationships with caring adults are essential. What happens during the first months and years of life is critical according to findings highlighted in From Neurons to Neighborhoods: The Science of Early Childhood Development, because it sets either a sturdy or fragile stage for future educational success.
