Every child is unique and will develop at their own rate. Most children gain new skills within an appropriate time frame, but sometimes children are born with or acquire conditions that can delay normal growth and development. Fortunately, many of these conditions can be improved if parents/caregivers recognize the problem early and seek help. These conditions may impact a child’s vision, speech, language, motor skills, socialization, thinking or hearing.
