Papillion-La Vista Schools Foundation Scholarships
The Papillion-La Vista Schools Foundation recognizes the value of continuing education for our graduating seniors and offers financial support for students through this scholarship program.

A total of fourteen (14) $1,000 scholarships will be available for the 2010 graduating class.

Ten scholarships are available for all students pursuing their education at an institution of higher learning.

Two scholarships are designated for students who have attended or worked for Kids Club for at least one year.

Two scholarships are available for students pursuing a vocational technical degree.  Vocational/ technical scholarships include all trades: mechanic, auto body, beautician, electrician, secretary, massage therapy, graphic arts, computer technician, construction, etc.

Scholarship applications are available on each high school’s website.  Please follow the directions posted there for completing your scholarship application form.

Family and friends often honor their loved ones through the establishment of a scholarship fund.  Following are the named scholarships administered by the Papillion-La Vista Schools Foundation:

Scholarship in Memory of Superintendent Paul D. Basler
One is available at each high school
Preference for awarding: Education major or athlete or attending Creighton

Scholarship in Memory of Harlan Cook
Available for a student of either high school
Preference for awarding:  Student attended Golden Hills Elementary

Scholarship in Celebration of the Denker Family
Available for a student of either high school
Preference for awarding:  Attending the University of Nebraska

Scholarship in Memory of Jessica K. Dierks
Available for a student of Papillion-La Vista South High School
Preference for awarding:  Nursing or health major

Scholarship in Memory of Jessica Dierks
Available for a student of Papillion-La Vista South High School
Preference for awarding:  Nursing major

Scholarship in Memory of John D. Carlson
Available for a student of either high school
Preference for awarding:  Journalism or Media

Scholarship in Memory of Dr. Leon Dappen
Available for a student of either high school
Preference for awarding:  Education major

Scholarship in Memory of Arthur C. and Marie D. Grube Family
Available for a student of either high school
Preference for awarding:  Business Administration

Scholarship in Memory of Kathy Kollars
Available for student of Papillion-La Vista High School (Monarch)
Preference for awarding:  Psychology or Education

Scholarship in Memory of Michael Logan
Available for student of Papillion-La Vista High School (Monarch)
Preference for awarding:  DECA involved, Business Major

Scholarship in Honor of Cliff Pratt
Available for student of either high school
Preference for awarding:  Student attended PLV Schools K-12      

Scholarship in Memory of Andrew Scott Zaraya
Available for a student of either high school

Full-ride Disclaimer:  If the applicant receives a full-tuition scholarship or is a National Merit Finalist, the Papillion-La Vista Schools Foundation scholarship money will be returned to the Foundation and warded to another student.
