Greetings from Dr. Rick Black, Superintendent!
Thank you for your interest in the Papillion-La Vista School District (PLSD) where we reach “Excellence- One Student at a Time!” Throughout our web page, you will find information about the District and the numerous services offered by the Papillion-La Vista School District. We provide a comprehensive educational program where we focus on meeting the unique needs of all students. In both our academic and co-curricular offerings, opportunities exist for everyone. We are very proud of our District and the education we give all students.
At Papillion-La Vista Schools, a strong team of staff, parents and community members are all committed to making a difference in the lives of each student. Located just south of Omaha, Papillion-La Vista School District residents benefit from a small town atmosphere while still having all of the conveniences of a metropolitan area. Serving over 10,000 students, we are the fourth largest district in Nebraska. Our District covers approximately 30 square miles of both urban and rural areas. We are comprised of 14 elementary schools, two junior high schools, two high schools and one alternative program. The Papillion-La Vista School District (PLSD) is among an elite group that has District-wide accreditation.
