PLSD Students Participate in Metropolitan Science and Engineering Fair 2015

Body

The annual Metropolitan Science and Engineering Fair (MSEF) was held Saturday, March 21 at the Omaha Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium. A total of 216 projects from area schools were entered into the fair.  The fair is designed to promote interest in science, engineering and related fields, encourage students to do a research project in one of these areas, and be rewarded for their efforts. Papillion-La Vista Zoo Academy students participated in this Science Fair. Students that placed in the top five in each division have now qualified for the Nebraska Junior Academy of Sciences at Nebraska Wesleyan (state competition) on April 17. The MSEF is a culmination of many months of research and experiences these students build while being part of the Zoo Academy. The results from the competition are:
