Large Vehicles Enhance Student Learning

Nearly 800 first grade students imagined themselves behind the wheel of a tractor, fire truck, state patrol car, or operating a large railroad crane on Friday, September 13.  The students were attending the annual “Vehicle Day” at Zupan Soccer Complex where they got to see, hear and touch vehicles from over 25 local businesses.  The sea of vehicles introduced the students to a variety of careers associated with vehicles ranging from a fire fighter to a mail carrier.  This is part of the student’s curriculum on communities.
