The purpose of the Papillion-La Vista School District student teacher program is designed to provide a foundation for Student Teachers and Cooperating Teachers to assist Student Teachers in becoming accomplished and thoughtful practitioners in a collaborative learning environment.
The program is organized for four components: Planning and Preparation, Classroom Environment, Instruction and Professional Responsibilities.
Planning and Preparation:
Papillion-La Vista School District Student Teachers will accomplish the following through guidance from their Cooperating Teachers:
- Demonstrate Knowledge of Content and Pedagogy
- Understand Knowledge of Their Students
- Set Instructional Goals/Outcomes
- Demonstrate Knowledge of Instructional Resources Available
Design and Implement Coherent Instruction
Design and Implement Student Assessments
Classroom Environment:
