Offers Free Breakfast and Lunch Program to Students During Summer
Would you like breakfast and/or lunch
provided for your child or yourself during the summer months? Then take
advantage of the FREE Papillion-La Vista School District summer breakfast and
lunch program! During the summer months, when kids are the most
active, it’s important to have the fuel needed for summer activities.
That’s why the Papillion-La Vista School District is offering FREE breakfast
and lunch for all children this summer.
Any child, ages 1-18, can eat a FREE
breakfast and lunch June 3- July 24 (closed the week of July 4), Tuesday
through Thursday at La Vista West Elementary, located at 7821 Terry Drive, La
Vista. Breakfast will run from 7:45 – 8:45 a.m. and lunch will run from
11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. No registration is needed, just show up! The
student breakfast and lunch program is provided by the Summer Food Service Program,
a Federal Program designed to meet the nutritional needs of students throughout
the summer months.
New Buzzer Security System Installed on Front Door
Adults accompanying a child can also eat free through the generous support of
The Food Bank of the Heartland. Breakfast and lunch menus can be found on
the Papillion-La Vista School District Web site at www.paplv.org. For questions, please
contact the Papillion-La Vista Food Service Office at 402-537-6250.
A new buzzer security system has been installed at Bell. All
doors will remain locked. During the school day parents and guest will
have to push the buzzer on the wall and someone from the office will use the
intercom system to greet you. The front door will then be unlocked
electronically from the office. By
locking the front doors, we are preventing visitors from entering the school
without being first identified and appropriately checking in with the front
office. Please be patient with us as we maintain
a safe environment for students and staff.
